European Farmland Biodiversity

Led by the James Hutton Institute in Scotland, NORDECO is engaged in a new initiative on European farmlands, called "Farmer clusters for Realising Agro-biodiversity Management across Ecosystems" (FRAMEwork). The project is funded by the EU H2020 programme.

The role of NORDECO is to engage local citizens and public bodies in knowledge exchange events on biodiversity and ecosystem services in so-called Farmer Clusters in different cropping systems across Europe.

During the project, the stakeholders involved in the Farmer Clusters will be united in a European-wide self-sustaining network. This network will be linked with the Citizen Observatory and Information Hub that will facilitate farmer and citizen-based collection and sharing of information on biodiversity and farming.
