Citizen Science Tools for Stewardship

Cambridge University Press is publishing a new book: "The Science and Practice of Landscape Stewardship".

One of the chapters is about citizen science tools for engaging local stakeholders and promoting local and traditional knowledge in landscape stewardship.

The chapter analyses the success and challenges of participatory monitoring of natural resources in Greenland and Finland. It also describes the lessons from using Facebook for monitoring hare hunting in the Faroe Islands.

The chapter is written by NORDECO in cooperation with partners from the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland and Norway.
