Arvid Sloth is a consultant with a proven track record in achieving mission objectives. Arvid always works through best practice and brings innovative approaches and creates viable solutions to complex matters.Key experience includes:

Climate change resilience, adaptation and mitigation – climate smart and green growth interventions.

Conflict resolution, mediation processes and facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes – among businesses, communities and government.

Sustainable land-use practices/forest management and environmental governance.

Private sector-based approaches and value chain diagnostics for economic growth, employment and food security through the development of enabling investment environments and building competitive value chains.

Facilitate learning and tailor-made transformative and capacity building activities integrated with M&E systems, - leading to higher accountability.

Mastering contemporary aid management, project appraisal and evaluation tools, such as Theory of Change, Result Based Management, Logical Framework Analysis and M&E frameworks.
Arvid has undertaken project assessments, identification, formulation, monitoring, reviews and gap-filling missions as well as worked embedded in national institutions - substantial experience from East Africa, Asia and South America. He has demonstrated leadership to both small and larger development assistance programmes - in all project phases.
Prior to joining Nordeco, Arvid was Associate Professor and Principal Consultant at the University of Copenhagen where he specialized in the nexus-field of: natural resources, livelihoods, social development and climate change. He has assumed advisory and management responsibilities for long-term assignments in Cambodia (6 yr.), Kenya (3 yr.) and Nepal (3 yr.) and short-term international assignments (> 30) respectively as an advisor, team-leader, partner in policy dialogue, and as a principal consultant and implementation practitioner.Earlier, Arvid has also gained hands-on experience from the private sector as a Forest Manager.
