Nordeco forms part of the EURONET consortium that has been shortlisted for the next round of EU framework contracts on Lot 6 Environment.  Contract expected to be signed within the month of September 2009 and the contract will be for two years starting January 2010 and with likely possibilities of another two years extension. 17 European consortia participated in the tender and only 4 consortia were shortlisted. Out of the 4 tenders, the EURONET tender was ranked as no. 1.

The Lot 6 includes the following areas: 

• Sustainable management and protection of natural resources and Ecosystems
• Climate change
• Nature protection and Bio-diversity
• Marine environment and management of coastal areas
• Urban environment
• Waste management (incl. public/private management structures aspects)
• Industrial pollution control
• Water management inclusive planning (e.g. integrated river basin management),supply, waste water treatment
• Air pollution
• Natura 2000 network
• Chemicals (standards, transportation, packaging)
• Environmental risks/disaster management
