Nepal mobile nature school

2009-11-04

With the objective of developing and testing an innovative concept on environmental education  the Project “Nepal Prakriti Pathshala, NPP” (Nepal Nature School) was introduced in Kathmandu Valley in November 2008 as a partnership between Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) and Danish Forestry Extension (DFE) with the support of DANIDA Mini Fund Project Grant. The purpose of the project is to create an understanding on the importance of conservation of the natural heritage of Nepal inside and outside protected areas and promote sustainable natural resource management among school children, influencing their families as well as the teachers and the local society in general. Nordeco will carry out the first project review in November 2009 and  provide support to development of the project phase II.
