Nordeco provides an expert in organic farming and environment to a team led by Danish Energy Management. They will support the Bangladeshi company ‘Waste Concern’ in formulating a carbon-credit project under the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto protocol. The project will collect organic waste from Dhaka City and turn it into compost to be sold commercially. Through this activity less organic waste will end up in uncontrolled landfills, where decomposition would lead to releases of the potent Green House Gas, Methane. The project intends to provide income to Bangladesh and jobs to local people.
