A 4-week training course on Environmental Mainstreaming and Environmental Management was completed last week with a diploma event. The course took place in Copenhagen and the participants consisted of government staff, NGO and private sector representatives from Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The participants also had the opportunity to visit Danish municipalities, industry and a farm to learn about environmental initiatives, municipal planning and management. Many of the participants were especially interested in local level waste management solutions including waste separation, re-use, recycling, and the concept of waste as food.

The ambassadors from Bolivia and Nicaragua participated in the diploma event which took place at the Danida Fellowship Centre in Copenhagen.
