Sune Holt
Mr. Holt has extensive managerial and capacity development experience in co-ordinating multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. His long list of work includes extensive international project management experience in environmental and natural resources management and institutional strengthening programs within the private as well as the public sector (including administrative and legal procedures). He is experienced in:
- environmental capacity development at both central and de-centralised levels
- training course development, and design of training manuals
- development of environmental policies, guidelines and norms
- environmental management and planning aspects of industrial and domestic wastewater projects
- EIA and environmental management of road & highway projects
- solid waste management
- toxic and hazardous waste
- water, air and noise quality assessment and monitoring
- development of financial incentives and cleaner technologies for improving industrial pollution management
- natural resources management in relation to oil and mining activities
- habitat and wildlife management
- river basin management and environmental restoration works.
His skills also include the use of GIS and remote sensing applications for environmental assessment and the use of GPS systems. As a team leader/project manager he has experience in technical/economic feasibility and baseline studies from numerous international projects including industrial investment projects and various implementation projects. He has knowledge of environmental policies of the major lending organisations including World Bank, Inter American Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, and African Development Bank. Mr. Holt has worked extensively in the Latin American, South East Asian, and African regions where he has had close working relations with various government ministries/agencies.
