Mr. Poulsen has more than twenty years of experience in sustainable natural resources management. His key qualifications include:

- biodiversity conservation and protected area management
- shared management of protected areas

He has extensive experience in project planning, review and implementation, administration and team work obtained through assignments to international organisations and government authorities, including the World Bank, the Global Environment Facility, the European Union, DANIDA, DANCED, WWF, BirdLife International and Flora and Fauna International.
Specialization: Tropical ecology and community-based natural resource management.
