Ms. Hansen is a senior consultant in social aspects of development and natural resource management issues with more than 18 years experiences Key qualifications include:
- Social impact assessment, baseline studies and social surveys
- Land use, land use rights and commons
- WB social safeguards
- Public consultations and local participation
- Civil society and organizational development
- Youth issues, education and processes of socialisation
- Micro projects, micro funds and business development
- Food security, wildlife utilisation and natural resource management
- Social sea harvesting (coastal foragers) and coastal zone management and small scale near shore fisheries
- Indigenous peoples and development
- Traditional knowledge/indigenous knowledge
- Local perceptions of and adaptations to climate change.
- Gender issues
Ms. Hansen has experiences as team leader and consultant of interdisciplinary, multicultural teams. Experience with project cycle management, logical framework approach, and project/programme formulation/planning, feasibility studies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), project management, monitoring, evaluation, review from assignments with the World Bank, SIDA, Danida, Dancea, ILO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ Denmark, Ministry of Environment/ Denmark, Nordic Council of Ministers. She has conducted research and fieldwork within the fields of social change, territoriality, land use and natural resource utilization and management.
Working experience in the following countries: Canada (North West Territories), Ethiopia, Ghana, Greenland, India, Island, Mozambique, Philippines, Russian Federation (Archangelsk Oblast and Kamchatka Krai/Far East), and Vietnam.
